Baleen Basket with Whale Tail Walrus Tusk Ivory Finial

Donald Jr. has prepared materials for and studied under his father Don, an eminent master baleen basket maker. It's obvious the natural gifts for both carving walrus ivory and working with the challenging threads of baleen from traditionally harvested Bowhead whales resides in this young basket weaver. Raven Makes Gallery is honored to have basket #2 from at this early point in his very promising career. A substantial, palm-sized treasure.

  • 3 inches widest
  • about 3 inches in height, including finial
