Artist's Statement
I am a member of the Wichita Tribe, located in Anadarko, OK. Though the traditional art of the Wichita people includes beading and leatherwork, I find myself drawn to working with gold, silver and precious stone. The many renowned Southwest artists inspire me, as well as my late brother-in-law, Navajo artist, Herbert Taylor.
My designs include traditional and contemporary motifs; my passion for the small creatures and birds of the Tucson desert, where I currently reside, shows up in my works. Above all else, I take pride in producing each piece by hand, with the absolute best quality that I can imagine.
