Vintage Black Jet and Cowrie Shell Sea Turtle

Amos carved an abundance of different animals, bird and turtles.  He was considered a master of his craft of Zuni fetish carving.  Amos was one of the first carvers to incorporate entire shells in his Turtle carvings.  As his other pieces, he inlayed turquoise eyes.

• 3 inches tail to nose and 2 1/2 inches at widest.
