Hopi Basket Weaver, by Mark Shelton
Hopi Basket Weaver
This multi-media piece is based on a Frederick I. Monsen early 1900's photograph. Mark painted each sumac strand of the woman's creation with a single, deft stroke, honoring the artistry of the renowned basket weavers of the Hopi Pueblos.
