Each painting by Jason Parrish is a direct and balanced response to his environment and his personal experiences within the rich cultural stories, ceremonies and lifestyle of his People, the Diné. As his portfolio of award-winning and collected works grows, one senses a contemporary young artist, now willing and able to paint full-time, taking a style often referred to as Native American Traditional Painting Style in a rich and honorable direction.

Confident, extremely detailed brushwork and mastery of water-based mediums show a level of excellence in the process of painting, but it's the imagery and, as Jason states, the chance to examine the beauty and importance of his Navajo culture "take you into a world you may never know existed."
